What is a round robin bet?

A round robin generates all possible accumulators of a chosen size from your selections. Pick 5 horses and combine them into doubles — that's 10 bets covering every possible pair. If any 2 win, at least one double pays out.

It's systematic coverage rather than picking one specific combination.

Round robin vs full cover bets

Named bets like the Yankee, Lucky 15, and Heinz are essentially pre-set round robins. A Yankee is a round robin of doubles + trebles + one four-fold from 4 selections.

The round robin calculator lets you customise — choose exactly which combination sizes you want.

How the round robin calculator works

    Generating combinations

For N selections combined into groups of K, the number of bets is "N choose K" — calculated as N! / (K! × (N-K)!). The calculator generates every possible subset of size K from your selections and multiplies the decimal odds together for each combination.

    Returns per combination

Each combination is an independent accumulator. If all selections in that combination win, the return is your stake multiplied by the combined decimal odds. The total return from a round robin is the sum of returns from all winning combinations.

    Multiple combination sizes

You can select multiple sizes simultaneously. Selecting doubles and trebles from 5 selections gives you 10 doubles + 10 trebles = 20 bets. This is exactly what a Canadian (Super Yankee) gives you, plus a five-fold. The round robin approach lets you pick and choose.

    Frequently asked questions

A round robin creates all possible accumulators of a chosen size from a group of selections. For example, 4 selections combined into doubles gives 6 bets covering every possible pair. If any 2 selections win, at least one bet pays out.
