How to use this poker odds calculator

    1. Select your two hole cards by clicking them in the card grid
    2. Optionally add your opponent's cards — leave blank to calculate against a random hand
    3. Optionally add board cards — enter the flop (3 cards), turn (4 cards), or all 5 for an exact result
    4. Click Calculate to see your win, lose, and tie percentages

    Understanding the results

Equity is your share of the pot based on probability. If you have 65% equity in a £100 pot, your "fair share" is £65. Equity changes as more cards are dealt — a hand with 60% equity pre-flop might have 90% after a favourable flop or 20% after a bad one.

Outs are the cards remaining in the deck that improve your hand. A flush draw has 9 outs. An open-ended straight draw has 8. Use the Rule of 2 and 4: multiply outs by 2 for the chance of hitting on the next card, or by 4 for the chance of hitting by the river. Pot odds vs hand odds

Use this calculator alongside pot odds to make better decisions. If the pot is £50 and you need to call £10, your pot odds are 10/(50+10) = 16.7%. If this calculator shows your equity at 35%, calling is profitable — your equity exceeds the price. If your equity is only 12%, fold. Responsible gambling note

Poker is a skill game with a significant luck component. Even with a mathematical edge, short-term variance means you can lose over any given session. This calculator helps you make better decisions — but no tool eliminates the risk of losing. If poker has become a source of stress rather than enjoyment, our self-exclusion guide covers how to take a break from all UK-regulated poker sites. For a broader look at how much the UK spends on gambling across all products, see our UK gambling statistics.
